On notion of Councilman Allen, duly seconded and carried,

the followinC Resolution was adopted:

1.11rJERMS, steps are beinC taken looking toward the

formation of a County Sanitation District pursuant to Chapter 250,
5
Statutes 1923, as amended, under the name and style of County
6
Sanitation District No, 6, and
7
" "'HEREAS, the proposed boundaries of said County Sanitat-
8
ion District include the hereinafter described portion of the
9
incorporated area of the City of Ilewport Beach, a city of the
10
sixth claas, and
11
67HEREAS, Section 4711 of the Health and Safety Code of
12
the State of California provides that less than the whole of a
13
City shall not be included in a County Sanitation District except
14
by the vote of a majority of the Govorning body of the City, and
15
UKEEt'L;AS, it is the doalro of this Body that the herein -
16
after described portion of the City of Newport Beach be included
17
within the boundarloa of proposed County Sanitation District No, 6.

to the inclualon of the folloninB described portion of the City

ion District IJo. 6. The territory referred to is doscribed as

area of the City of Nowport beach which

was annoxod to said City pursuant to
Ordinance No. 553 adopted April 23th,

1047, -aid included territory boin-,
commonly referred to as "The Presbyterian

Hospital of 0: an3e County."
