• 2 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach did, by and through its

3 City Council, lease and let to the Newport Harbor Union Highschool
4 District for certain purposes, that certain real property situate
5 in the City of Newport Beach, in Orange County, California, and
6 more particularly described as follows, to -wit:

"Beginning at a point in the city boundary line
of the City of Newport Beach which bears South 610
8
001 East 128.5 feet and North 290 001 East 103.65
feet from the most southerly corner of Lot H, Tract
9
No. 919, as shown upon a map recorded in Book 29,
of Miscellaneous Maps, Pages 31 to 34 inclusive,
10
Records of Orange County, California; running thence
South 290 001 West 103.65 feet to a point in the
11
United States Government Bulkhead Line between Sta-
tion 129 and Station 130, as shown on a map entitled
12
"Harbor Lines, Newport Harbor, California" approved
by the Secretary of War May 2nd, 1936 and on file
13
in the office of the United States District Engineer
in Los Angeles, California; running thence South
14
610 001 East along said Bulkhead line, a distance
of 100 feet; thence North 290 001 East 89.20 feet,
15
more or less, to a point in the city boundary of
the City of Newport Beach; thence Northwesterly
16
along said city boundary to the point of beginning."

WHEREAS, the said Newport Harbor Union Highschool District
no longer needs said lands for the purposes for which the same
were leased to them and have, through their Board of Trustees,
duly authorized the cancellation thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is in need of said lands
above described for municipal purposes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the lease heretofore
mentioned be and the same is hereby cancelled, annulled and de-
clared of no further force or effect as between the Newport Harbor
Union Highschool District and the City of Newport Beach.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon receipt of the Resolu-
tion of the Newport Harbor Union Highschool District cancelling
said lease, that a certified copy of this Resolution be sent to
Board of Trustees of the Newport Harbor Union Highschool District.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon receipt of a Resolutio

Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and waintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 3554 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 12th day of January , 1948, by the following
vote, to wit:
