WHEREAS, it is necessary under the law for the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to appoint Boards of Election and to designate the polling places for the municipal election to be held in the City of Newport Beach on 1,onday, the 17th day of ::;ay, 1948, and to fix the compensation to be paid to election officers; and ,MREAS, it is also necessary for the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to fix the hours for the openi.nC and closln,; of the polls for the municipal election to be held on the 17th day of May, 1948.
