RESOLUTION 210.1 OS �_p
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated the
13th day of April, 1848, between the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, a
municipal corporation, therein referred to as "City ", and NEWPORT
HARBOR CHAMBER OF CObWZGE, a California corporation, with its
principal place of business at 702 East Central Avenue, Balboa,
California, therein referred to as the "Chamber of Commerce"; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement provides that the City has leased
to the Chamber of Commerce, certain real property located in the
City of Newport Beach, more particularly described in said Agree-
ment, for the purpose of erecting and constructing a building on
said lands, which building and lands surrounding the same will be
used for civic and community purposes, and will be generally of-
fered to the public for civic and community purposes; and
WHEREAS. said agreement specifically sets forth the rents,
covenants and agreements on the part of the Chamber of Oommeroe to
be kept and performed,, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach deems
that it is for the best interests of said City that said A;reement
be executed, and that the construction therein specified be done
by the Chamber of Commerce upon the terms and conditions therein
specified;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, an3 they are hereby direct
authorized and instructed to execute said Agreement on behalf of
the City of Newport Beach, and that a duly executed copy thereof
be delivered by the City Clerk to the Chamber of Commerce.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof, held on the day of
