A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING ITS

INTENTION TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP, VACATION
AND ADAf'DONMENT OF A PORTION OF OCEAN FRONT,

FORMERLY OCEAN AVENUE, IN BLOCK 19, FIRST
ADDITION TO NEWPORT BEACH, CITY OF NEWPORT

BEACH, COUNTY OF ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA.

The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to
7
the provisions of the "Streets Vacation Act of 1941, approved May
8
13, 1941, Statutes 1941, 01japter 250 and amendments thereto, being
9
Division 9, Pert 3, Chapters 2 and 3, Section 8320 and 8331, in-
10
elusive, Streets and Highways Code, does hereby ordain, resolve and
11
declare as follows:

SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience requi
13
the closing up and abandonment of a portion of that certain street
14
in Block 19, First Addition to Newport Beach, in the City of Newpor
15
Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and it is the inten-
16
tion of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to order the
17
following described portion of said street to be vacated, closed
18
up and abandoned, to -wit:

Beginning at the most westerly corner of Lot 13, Block
19, First Addition to Newport Beach as said tract is
20
laid out and shown upon a map recorded in miscellaneous
Maps, Book 3, page 27, Records of Orange County, Cali -
21
fornia, thence southwesterly along the southwesterly
prolongation of the north::iresterly line of said Lot 13, to
22
an intersection with a line, said line being eight and
one half feet 18.51) measured at right angles south-
23
westerly of and parallel with the southwesterly line of
said Block 19., thence eouthe- sterly along said parallel
24
line to an intersection with the southwesterly prolonga-
tion of the southeasterly line of Let 4, of said Block
19, thence in a direct line to an intersection with the
southerly,.prolongatien of the eacterly line of Lot 1,

of said Block 19, ;aid point of intersection being one
half foot (.'51) distant from the most southerly corner

of said Lot 1, thence northerly along said southerly
prolongation to said southerly corner of Lot 1, thence

northwesterly along the southwesterly line of said Block
19, to the point of beginning.

1945, and designated "Resolution.No. 3610% Deference is hereby
made for further particulars as to the proposed vacation, closing
up, and abandonment of said portion of said street, to said map,
and said map is made a part of this Resolution to the same ex-
tent and purpose as if the same were herein incorporated and de-
scribed in full.
SECTION 2: '�hnt the proceedings for the closing up and
abandonment of the nforesaid portion of said street shall be had
and taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach elects
to proceed under the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of
In4l ", approved May 13, 1941, statutes 19410 Chapter 250 and
amendments thereto, being Division 9, Pa �'e 3, Chapters 2 and 3,
Sections 9320 to 5331, inclusive, Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 3t The Street Superintendent of the City of Newpo:
Beach shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of
the portion of said street proposed to be vacated, not more than
300 feet apart, but not less than three in all, notices of the
vacation of said portion of said street. Said notices shall state
the passage of this Resolution of Intention and the time and place
of the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to the
proposed vacation of said portion of said street, all as required
by law.
SECTION 4: Notice is hereb, given that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach does hereby fix Monday the 27th day of
September, 1945, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. of said day,
in the Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach, located in thi
City Hall in the City of Newport Beach, as the time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation of said portion of said street. And the said City Council
at said time and place will hear the evidence offered by any p
interested in the vacation of said portion of said street here
described.

at least once in Newport Balboz Press, a newspaper of general alrou.
lation printed, published and clrmzl:.ted in the City of Nevraort
Beach, and salt' publication shall be made before the date set for
