HomeMy WebLinkAbout3650 - Special Municipal Election - 2-8-1949• 1W 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 . 28 • 29 30 31 32 C 0 P Y RESOLUTION NO. 3650 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICERS AND DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES FOR THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ON TUESDAY, the 8th DAY OF FEB- RUARY, 1949, AND PROVIDING FOR THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE POLLS AND THE COMPENSATION OF ELECTION OFFICERS. WHEREAS, it is necessary under the law for the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to appoint Boards of Election and to designate the polling places for the special municipal election to be held in the City of Newport Beach on Tuesday, the 8th day of February, 1949, and to fix the compensation to be paid to election officers; and WHEREAS, it is also necessary for the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to fix the hours for the opening and closing of the polls for the special municipal election to be held on the 8th day of February, 1949. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, that the polling places and the election officers to act at each polling place shall be as follows, to -wit: CONSOLIDATED PRECINCT "A" (Being a consolidation of the voting precincts numbered 1, 2, 11 and 18 as established by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange) POLLING PLACE Newport Beach Fire Hall 2817 West Central Ave. Newport Beach. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the voting precincts as est- ablished by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, said voting precincts numbered one (1) to nineteen (19) inclusive, and consolidated as heretofore designated, shall constitute the voting precincts for the special municipal election to be held in the City of Newport Beach on Tuesday, the 8th day of February, 1949, and shall be designated in all proceedings as Consolidated Precinct "A" to "F" inclusive. I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of December, 1948, by the following vote, to -wit: ATTEST: /s/ C.
