WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 585, the annexation of certain
territory known as Corona Highlands or Tract 1237 has been approved
by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, said territory, as so annexed and in accordance with
the provisions of Section 3 of Ordinance No. 525 is in an R -1
residence district; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable to consider whether or not said terri
for any part thereof sho*&ld be reclassified,
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby initiates the consideration of an amendment
to Ordinance No. 525 so to reclassify said territory or parts there-
of, as may best promote the general welfare in the use of said land
and buildings thereon, and that said matter be and is hereby
referred to the Planning Commission of said City of Newport Beach
for a report thereon.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution was
duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 27th
day of December, 1948, by the following vote, to -wit:
