RESOLUTION NO. 3683
WHEREAS, the o *.mers of the real property hereinafter
described have requested the City of Newport Beach to relinquish a
certain grant of easement dated the 13th day of February, 1943
from the Citizens National Trust and Savings Bank of Los Angeles to
the City of Newport Beach wherein said City of Newport Beach was
.ranted an easement for laying, maintaining and operating a sanitar
sewer pipe line over, across and through a certain strip of land
extending from Bayside Drive to Carnation Avenue in the Corona del
Mar section of the City of Newport Beach, Orange County, State of
California; and
- JHERE.AS, in consideration of said proposed relinquishment
said owners proposes to grant to the City of Newport Beach an ease-
ment for laying, maintaining and operating a sanitary sewer pipe
line, and other public utility lines, over, across and through
certain lands hereinafter more particularly described; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 3682, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach has authorized the execution of a quit claim
deed for the purpose of relinquishing said easement herein above
first mentioned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach that the City of Newport Beach accept a
certain grant of easement from the Citizens National Trust and
Savings Bank of Los Angeles wherein said grantor grants to the
City of Newport Beach an easement for laying, maintaining and oper-
ating a sanitary sewer pipe line, and other public utility lines,
over, across and through that certain real property situate in the
Corona del Mar section of Newport Beach, Orange County, California
and more particularly described as follows:
A parcel of land in Block "D" of "Corona del Mar ", as showm
on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellan-
eous Maps, records of Orange County, California, more
particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point
of intersection of the Northwesterly line of Carnation Aven
(formerly 30th Avenue) with the Northwesterly prolongation
of the Northeasterly line of Seaview Avenue (formerly 51st
Place) as said 30th Avenue and 51st PIce are shown on said
map of Corona del Mar; thence North 509 19' 30" West along

said Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly line
of Seaview Avenue, 119.0 feet to an angle point in the
Westerly boundary of the land conveyed to Edna V. Haynes
by deed recorded April 5th, 1945 in Book 1308, page 263
of Official Records; thence North 40 48' 30" West, along
the westerly line of said land conveyed to Haynes, 60.30
feet; thence continuing along the !+Jesterly line of said
land conveyed to Haynes North 140 32' 30" !, ,lest 83.90 feet;
thence North 300 30 East 21.85 feet to a point in the
Southwesterly line of Bayside Drive, formerly Old County
Road; thence Northwesterly along said Southwesterly line
of Bayside Drive 30.0 feet to the most Southeasterly corner
of the 40 -foot easement extending from Bayside Drive to the
ordinary high tide line of the Pacific Ocean in Ne'U.0ort Bay
conveyed to the City of Newport Beach by deed recorded
November 27th, 1937 in Book 919, page 164 of Official
Records; thence South 730 54' 47" [•lest along the Southeaste--
ly line of said easement 32.0 feet; 6hence South 90 42'
14" East 122.20 feet; thence South 9 55' West 50.73 feet;
thence South 340 06' 13" West 80.0 feet; thence South 390
40' 30" [lest of the intersection of said line with the
Northwesterly extension of the Southerly line of the land
conveyed to Laura M. Newell by deed recorded October 6th,
1941 in Book 1109, page 552 of Official Records; thence
South 500 19' 30" East, parallel to said Northwesterly
extension of the Southerly line and the Southerly line of
said land conveyed to Newell, 155.00 feet to the Northweste -
ly line of Carnation Avenue; thence North 390 40' 30" ^ast
along the Northwesterly line of said Carnation Avenue, 5 fen
to the most Southerly comer of said land conveyed to
Newell; thence North 500 19' 30" [•lest along the Southerly
line of said land conveyed to Newell, 128 feet to the most
Westerly corner thereof; thence North 39 40' 30" East,
parallel to the Northwesterly line of said Carnation Avenue,
20.6U feet to the most Northerly corner of a parcel of
land conveyed to Alonzo Lee Burdick and wife by deed
recorded August 22nd, 1944 in Book 1288, page 9 of Official
Records; thence South 500 19' 30" East along the Northeast-
erly line of said land conveyed to Burdick, 120.00 feet
to the Northwesterly line of Carnation Avenue; thence North
390 40' 30" East, along the Northwesterly line of Carnation
Avenue, 5 feet to the point of beginning.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly passed and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, held on the 11th day of April, 1949, by the
vote, to wit:
