NHE&X.dS, certain sewage of t1w City of Newport Beach is presently
being emptied through facilities of Oe Joint Oatfall Sever Board; and
i►EEMS, said sewage affluent requires treatment and ohlorisatton
before ultimate disposal; and
1'.iounS, said Joint Outfell Sever Board is presently furnishing such
treatment;
NOW THM"MBE BE IT RESOLVED that it is for the best interest of the
City of Newport Beach that Joint Outfall Sewer Board continue said treatment
and that the City of Newport Beach pay the just and proper eharge thereof; and
BE IT 7WHEH R - ,SOL,4hsD, that an agreement be entered into between
Joint Outfall Sever Board and the City of Newport Beach, providing for the
continued treatment of sewage effluent of the City of Newport Reach and that
payment thereof be based upon required treatment determined by the biochemical
oxygen demand and an as adjusted basis of sulphide reduction according to
chemical analysis and upon the proportionate share, by volume, of ocean
sampling and analysis thereof.
BE IT 84!$THEH RESOLVED that the Kayor and City Clerk be and they
hereby are authorimed and instructed to execute on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach, said contract.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly passed and
adopted by the Cit$ Council of the City of Newport Beach, at a regular meeting
of the City Council held on the lath day of April, 1949, by the following vote,
to wit:

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
