RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH ANARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF BAY
1 AVENUE FROM MAIN STREET TO "A" STREET IN THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
• 2 THEREOF
• 3 WHEREAS, pursuant to Notice Inviting Bids for the improvement
4 of Bay Avenue, from Main Street to "A" Street, in the City of New -
5 port Beach, heretofore duly given, sealed proposals and bids thereof
6 where duly received and, at the time and place set for said purpose,
7 duly opened and it appearing that the lowest regular and responsible
8 bidder is Cox Brothers Construction Company, a copartnership; and
9 WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Council
10 of the City of Newport Beach, a certain agreement dated the 23rd
11 day of May, 1949, by and between said Cox Brothers Construction
12 Company and the City of Newport Beach, providing for said improvemen
13 of said Bay Avenue from said Main Street to said "A" Street;
14i NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said bid of said Cox
15 Brothers Construction Company for said improvement of Bay Avenue,
16 from Main Street to "A" Street in the City of Newport Beach for
17� the total sum of $2,547.47 be and the same is hereby accepted; and
18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said contract for said con -
19 struction in accordance with the plans and specifications on file
20 with the City Clerk of said City at said price of $2,547.47 be
21 and the same is hereby awarded to said Cox Brothers Construction
22 Company; and

23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
24 and they are hereby authorized and instructed to execute said agree -
25 ment in the name of and for and on behalf of the City of Newport
26 I Beach and that the City Clerk furnish a duly executed copy thereof
27 to said Cox Brothers Construction Company.
• 28 The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
• 29 passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
30 at a regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of May, 1949, by
31 the following vote; to wit:

Blue. Isbell. Drake
