HomeMy WebLinkAbout3712 - Public Improvement Rate of WagesII • 1 2 • 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 151 161 17 1 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 COPY l5-,S- RESOLUTION NO. 3712 ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN THE CITY OF NEVIPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, The City Council did on the 11th day of July, 1949 adopt Resolution of Intention No. 3706 for the improvement of a portion of "M" Street and certain alleys in East Side Addition to Balboa Tract and Tracts Nos. 518, 948, and 1090 in the City of Newport Beach, California; and 11HEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, it is necessary that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach ascertain and determine the general prevailing rate of wages on public works; and by the provisions of said Code, it is mandatory upon the awarding body of any public improvement, to ascertain and determine the general prevailing rate of per diem ,*ages in the locality in which the work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract, and also the general prevailing r for legal holidays and overtime work for each craft or type of workman or mechanic.
