RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 3733
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
- NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA
ORDERING THE STORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
NO. 3726
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of
1911 ", being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, DOES RESOLVE as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require
the work hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said
City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and improve
ments to be made in said City, to -wit:
The grading, paving with 2 -inch plant mix material
laid upon a 5-inch untreated rock base, construction of cement
concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, alley aprons or approaches,
storm drains, house sewer connections, house water connections,
street lighting system, together with appurtenant work in connect
therewith, in Lake Avenue and other streets, all as more particul
described in Resolution of Intention No. 3726, passed and adopted
the City Council of said City on the 29th day of August, 1949 and
on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made
to said Resolution of Intention No. 3726 and to the plans, profiles
and drawings No. 426, consisting of six (6) sheets, on file in the
office of the City Engineer of said City of Newport Beach, and to
the specifications for the said work heretofore adopted by the said

City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings and specifications
heretofore approved by the City Council of said City are incorporate
herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto
for a more particular description of said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared
that the Contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was,
in the opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary
public benefit, and the said City Council has made a portion of the
expenses of said work chargeable upon a district. For the particula:
description of the said district, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention No. 3726.
Said City Council has determined and declared that
serial bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per
annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the
second day of January next succeeding the next October 15th followin
their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the
"Improvement Act of 1911 ", being Part 5, Division 7 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, to represent each
assessment of Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) or more, remaining unpaid
(for thirty (3) days after the date of the warrant.
Said City Council has determined and declared that
ithe City will pay out of its General Fund the sum of $3500.00 toward
the costs and expenses of said improvement. The liability and
`obligation to pay such stun, as provided in said Resolution of
(Intention No. 3726, shall accrue and become fixed upon the date of
the confirmation of the assessment by the City Council of said City.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and
carried through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the
State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ",
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code.

The Clerk of said City is hereby directed to post
conspicuously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the
City Council, in the manner and form required by said Code, a Notice
Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein ordered,
and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish trice in "Newport -
Balboa Press ", a weekly newspaper, published and circulated in said
City and hereby designated by the said City Council for that purpose
a Notice Inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said work and
referring to the specifications on file.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on
the 10th day of October, 1949, by the following vote, to -exit:

Isbell, Blue, Drake
