RESOLUTION NO. 3794
WHEREAS, by deed dated April 13th, 1928, recorded March 13,
1929, in Book 249, page 426 of Official Records of Orange County,
California, The Irvine Company, a corporation, conveyed to the City
of Newport Beach an easement for street purposes therein described;
and
WHEREAS, by agreement dated April 13, 1928, recorded December
21, 1928, in Book 231, page 92 of Official Records of Orange County
California, The Irvine Company, a corporation, conveyed to said
City of Newport Beach easements for road purposes therein described
and in said agreement said The Irvine Company, reserved the right
to at any time and from time to time to relocate or change the
location of said easements, provided that any such change or
relocation should provide a means of ingress and egress for street
purposes from a public road to the westerly end of the easement
described in the deed first above mentioned; and
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company has complied with the conditions
of said agreement last above mentioned and has conveyed to the
County of Orange by deed dated June 5, 1936, recorded June 11,
1936, in Book 830, page 217 of Official Records of said Orange
County, certain easements for street purposes in connection with
the relocation of that certain public highway commonly known as
Palisades Road, also known as Bayside Drive; and
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company is now entitled to a Quitclaim
Deed from the City of Newport Beach under the terms of said
agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach deems that it is for the
best interests of said City that said City give to The Irvine
Company a quitclaim deed to said described premises; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach deems
that the consideration for said quitclaim deed is fair, just and
adequate.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Newport
•

Beach execute that certain quitclaim deed dated the 5th day of
•

December, 1938, from the City of Newport Beach to The Irvine
4
Company, covering certain easements.
5
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Clerk of the
6
City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed, authorized
7
and instructed to sign and execute said Quitclaim Deed in the
8
name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and the City
9
Clerk is directed to deliver the same to The Irvine Company.
10
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution was
11
duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
12
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
13
8th day of May, 1950, by the following vote, to -wit:

AYES, COUNCILMEN: Finch, Drake, Greeley, Blue, Isbell

NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
