1 RESOLUTION NO. 3837
• 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
• 3 AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CAST IRON PIPE
4 WHEREAS, pursuant to a notice inviting bids for the
5 sale of cast iron water pipe, heretofore duly given, sealed pro -
6 posals and bids therefor were duly received, and, at the time
7 and place set for said purpose, duly opened, and it appearing
8 that the lowest regular and responsible bidder is the American
9 Cast Iron Pipe Company, a corporation; and
10 WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City
11 Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain Agreement dated
12 November 13, 1950, by and between said American Cast Iron Pipe
13 Company and the City of Newport Beach, providing for the pur-
14 chase and sale of certain cast iron pipe;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said bid of
16 said American Cast Iron Pipe Company for the sale of said cast
17 iron pipe in the sum of $14,862.23, be, and the same is hereby,
18 accepted; and,
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, said contract for the sale
20 and purchase of said cast iron pipe in accordance with the plans
21 and specifications on file with the City Clerk of the City of
22 Newport Beach and with the letter dated November 10, 1950 from
23 American Cast Iron Pipe Company to the City of Newport Beach,
24 also on file with the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach,
25 at said price of $14,862.23 (subject to the conditions in said
26 specifications contained as to price adjustment) be, and the same
27 is hereby, awarded to said American Cast Iron Pipe Company; and,
• 28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
• 29 be, and they are hereby, authorized and instructed to execute
30I said Agreement in the name of and for and on behalf of the City
31 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk furnish a duly executed
32 copy thereof to said American Cast Iron Pipe Company.

The above and foregoing Resolution was duly and re-
gularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day
of November, 1950, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Finch, Drake, Blue, Greeley, Isbell
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
