WMMEAB, the City of Newport Beach did, on the 23rd day

of November, 1953, Pass its certain F:esolution of Intention No.

4171, declaring its intention to order the closing up, vacation

and abandonment of a portion of a street known'as Orange Meet,

in the City of Newport Beach, hereinafter more particularly do-

scribed' pursuant to and in accordance with the "Street Vacation
7
Act of 19.41" and all amendment thereto being actions 33CC thro
$
3331 of the-California Streets and Highways Code; and

WMMA&S, the Street :superintendent of the City of Newport
10
Beach has caused to be posted conspicuously along the portion of
11
said street proposed to be vacated, riot more than 3t0 feet apart,
12
and not less than 3 in all, notices of the vacation of said por-
13
tion of said street, a11 of which will irore fully appear from the
14
affidavit of i, wi, covert, the said Street 5vperintendexAt of the
15
City of Newport Beach, on file in these proceedings; and
16
WHORAS, said notices so posted by the :;treat Suporintendej
17
of'the City of Newport Beach stated the preparation of said Reso-
18
lution of intention No. 4171 aforesaid, and the date and place of
19
the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to the pro-
20
posed vacation of said portion of €laic street; and
21
WiiitiiBAb, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach by
22
said Resolution of Intention to. 1}171, aforesaid, did fix Monday,
23
the 28th day of December, 1953, at the hour of 700 pem. of said
24
day as the time, and the Council Chambers of the City Council of
25
the City of Newport Beach, located in the City Hall of the City
26
of Newport Beach, as t o place for the heaving of all persons In-

terested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion

has been published at least once in the Newport - Balboa Press,, a

newppaper of general circulation, printed, published and cir�cul.ati

in the City of Newport Beach, and said publication was made more

than 15 days prior to the date set for the hearing of ill persons
Interested. in or object*ag to the proposed vacations all of which
will more fully appear by the affidavit of Hen Reddicks owner and
publisher of said Nouport- B#1boa Press, on file in these proceed-
ings i and
Qw=tj the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
has heard the evidences both written and v-_:bal, of all persons
interested in the vacation of said portion of :.ai.d street in this
Resolution more particularly hereinafter describers ;and finds
from all the evidence submitted that -said rortion of s_Id street
described in said Resolution of Intention, and herei.mfter de-
scribed, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street
or alley. purposes:

Beach finds Jnd determines and hereby orders that the following
described portion of that certain street in the City of ?iwgort
}Beach, described as follows,
Beginning at the most :outhe-ly corner of Lot 19
Block H, Seashore Colony Tract as said tract is
laid out and shown upon a mar recorded in lld seel
laneous daps Book 7, Page 25, ?tecords of orange
County, California, thence southwesterly :Tong the
southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly
line of said Lot 1 to an interseetior with a line
lying parallel to and distant 15.00 feet from the
southeasterly line of said Lot 11 thence south-
easterly along the southeasterly prolongation of
said parallel line a distance of 2.5G feet, thence
northeasterly in a straight line to an intersection
with the southeasterly line of said Lot 1, said
point of intersection being southwesterly of and
distant 15.00 feet from the tioA easterly corner
of said Lot 1, thence southwesterly along the
southeasterly line of said Lot 1, to the point
of beginning,
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street or alley
purposes, snd now makes its order vacsting said portion of said
street above described.
The City Council further orders that the City Clerk of the
City of Newport Beach shall cause a certified copy or this Order,

duly attested by hire at; the City Clerk, under the seal of the
City, to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of
Orange County$ State of Californiaf ii=gdiately following the
passage of this Eesolution.
