A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
CONSENTING TO THE PROCEL•DI14G irITH THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN TERRITORY, KNOWN AS THS SEA,, UIS.T ANNEXATION, UNDER THIS
PROVISIONS OF THE ANNEXATION ACT OF 1913,
WHEREAS, Wm. W. eseaquist, and others have petitioned the
City of Newport .Beach for its consent to the annexation of certa,
property generally bounded by 15th and 16th 6treets and Irvine
and Santa Ana Avenues, in the County of Orange, State of Califor
contiguous to the present City boundaries of the City of Newport
Beach# under the provisions of the Annexation Act of 1913; and
WHEREAt39 the Orange County Boundary Commission did, on
November 23* 1953 find the proposed boundary indefinite and un-
certain in that a portion of said territory lies within the
cries of the City of Costa Mesa;
AND, i A,5, the Planning Commission of the City of
Newport Beach did, on December 17ths 1953* give its approval and
recommendation to the City Council of the lcYty of Newport Beach
for the proposed annexation of said property;
PLOW, VIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach does hereby consent to the proposed an-
nexation of said Seaquist Annexation under the provisions of the
Annexation Act of 1913, and hereby further consents that the pro-
ponents of said annexation shall proceed with the steps necessary
under said Annexation Act of 1913.
