ORNIA.
The City Council o: the City of Newport Beach, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941,+1 and all
is thereto, being Sections 8300 through 8331 of the Streets
Highways Code, does hereby ordain, resolve and declare as
s:
SECTION 1% That the public interest and convenience
equire the closing up and abandonment of that certain public
ighway, being portions of Broad Street between Santa Ana Avenue
Catalina Drive as shown upon a map of First Addition to New-
Heights recorded in Miscellaneous :Maps, Book 4, page 941
of Orange County, California, and it is the intention of
City Council of the City of New;;.ort Beach to order the follow-
described property in said City of Newport Beach, County of
, State of California, to be vacated, closed up and abandon-
, to wits
PARCEL I:
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot
1, Block 12, as shown upon a map of Tract No. 27 record-
ed in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 99 page 26, records of
said Orange County; thence easterly a distance of TO 14.14
feet to a point of intersection with a line lying north-
easterly of, parallel to, and distant 10 feet from the
northeasterly line of said Lot 1; thence southeasterly
along said parallel line to the point of intersection
with the northeasterly prolongation of the southeasterly
line of said Lot 1; thence southwesterly along said
northeasterly prolongation to the most easterly corner
of said Lot 1; thence northwesterly along the north-
easterly line of said Lot 1, to
the point of beginning.

SECTION 2x That the proceedings for the closing up and

abandonment of the aforesaid public highway shall be had and taken,

and the City Council of the City of Newport Bcach hevoby elects to

proceed under the provisions of the said "Street Vacation Act of

1941x' and all amendments thereto, being Sections 8300 through
28
8331 of the Streets and highways Code of the State of California.

of that certain public highway proposed to be vacated, not more

than 300 feet apart, but not less than three in a11, notices

the preparation of this Resolution of .Intention and the time and

of the hearing cf all persons interested in or objecting
to the proposed vacation of said certain public highvay.

15 general eirculatiun, printed, published and circulated in the
18 City of Newport Beach,.end said publication shall be mado prior
17 to the date set for the hearing of all persons interested in or
