HomeMy WebLinkAbout4386 - Property for Public Park Purposesn` • 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 0 7 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 REsobUTIOi; NO. 4386 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has, for a period of time, been desirous of acquiring; certain real property as hereinafter described for a public park; and WHMMS, it appears to be for the best Interests of the citizens of the City of Newport Beach that the said property be acquired and used as a public park; and WUMUS, the owners of the property have refused to sell the said property, to the City of Newport Beach at any fair and reasonable price; NOW, THERMRE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby find and determine that public interest and _necessity require the acquisition by the City of Newport Beach of the hereinafter described real property as a public park, and said City Council does further fund and determine that said real property is necessary for the ereatior of said public park. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an action shall be brought by the City of Newport Beach to acquire said real property by condemnation for use as a public park, and that the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to institute proceedings Ent eminent domain to obtain fee simple title to the said real property for use as a public park, and to take all action necessary to complete the acquisitions of such property to the City of Newport Beach. The description of the real property referred to herein and the owners thereof so far as IMO n to the City of Newport Beach are as follows. Those certain lots lying in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly described as Lots 1 and 2, including between high tide line, -1 -- y< 1 2 3 4, B 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 18 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 I, in Block 145 of Canal Section, Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded, in Book 4; Page 98 of Miscellaneous Plops in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Orange -.. owner; Tjps, Eden Avercrombie Odell, also known as Mrs. Hosack.
