RESOLUTION NO. 4398
WHEREAS, The City of Newport Beach receives revenues from
oil leases on property within the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of forming an
advisory committee to the City Manager of Newport Beach with re-
Bard to the leasing of oil land and the drilling of oil in the
City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, such an advisory committee would be for the
best interests of the citizens of the City of Newport Beach;
NOW; THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED that there shall be a
Technical Oil Advisory Committee for the City of Newport Beach;
said advisory committee shall consist of three members, who shall
be appointed by the City Council for a period of one year, one of
whom shall be appointed as chairman; said members shall serve
without compensation. The Technical Oil Advisory Committee shall
have the power and duty to (a) familiarize themselves with any
oil leases and agreements whereby the city may be a party, and
(b) to act in an advisory capacity to the City Manager of the Ci
of Newport Beach and to make written reports and recommendations
as requested by the City Manager.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 24th day of
October, 1955; by the following roll call vote, to wit:
