RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions, the City Attorney of
the City of Newport Beach, California has prepared an Extension
of Lease Agreement in which the City of Newport Beach agrees to
extend a certain lease dated April 1, 1947 by and between The
Balboa Angling Club and the City of Newport Beach upon the
conditions, covenants and restrictions in said lease; and
WHEREAS, said Extension of Lease Agreement has been
duly presented by the City Attorney to the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, for its acceptance and approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that that certain
Extension of Lease Agreement made and entered into the .2y -day
of , 19554 by and between the City of Newport
Beach, as the party of the first part, and The Balboa Angling
Club, as the party of the second part, wherein and whereby the
City of Newport Beach agrees to extend a certain lease dated
April 1, 1947 for a further period of ten years, commencing
on the first day of May, 1957 and ending on the 30th day of
April, 1967, be and the same is hereby approved as written.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be, and they are hereby autharzed and directed to execute said
Extension of Lease Agreement In behalf of the City.
The above and foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on theo?Y ! —day

3 �I THIS AGREEMENT OF EXTENSION OF LEASE made this
4 of , 1955s by and between the CITY OF
II5 � NEWPORT BEACH, a municipal corporation, party of the first
6 it part, and THE BALBOA ANGLING CLUB, a California corporation of

9 I; WHEREAS, the Balboa.An; ling Club is contemplating

10 Ij wing improvements on that real property it is now leasing from

11 the City of Newport Beach under that certain Agreement of Lease
12 ` dated April 1, 1947, and which expires on April 30, 19577 and
13 i WHEREAS, the Balboa Angling Club has maintained its

14 i buildings on said property for educational, civic and recreational
15 i purposes for the benefit of the public in general; and
I
16 { WHEREAS, the said contemplated improvements will be used
17 !{ for the aforesaid purposes and the parties hereto are desirous
18 i of extending said agreement for a further period;
19 NOW, THMEFORE, in consideration of their mutual
20 promises and all of the covenants and conditions to be kept by
21 each as set out in the said above mentioned previous agreement
22 between the parties hereto, it is agreed as follows:
23 1. That all of the terms and conditions of said
24, agreement, dated the 1st day of April, 1947, are incorporated
25 herein as though set out in full herein, and the parties hereto
26 agree to be bound by all of the terms and conditions of said
27 agreement dated the 1st day of April, 1947 for a further period of
28 ten years, commencing on the first day of May, 1957, and ending
29- on the 30th day of April, 1967.
30 IN WIT14FZS WREMP, the City of Newport Beach has this
31 day caused its corporate name to be signed and its corporate
32 seal to be affixed by its Mayor and City Clerk thereunto duly

authorized by resolution of its City Council dated the ?

corporate seal to be affixed by its President and Secretary
