RESOLUTION DSCIMT30 RESULT OF SPECIAL
ANNEXATION SUMION OF SMQUIST ANNEX
TO THE CiTI OF NEWPORT BEACH.
WHMRSAS, a special annexation election was held and
conducted in the County of Orange, State of California, on
Tuesday, the 20th day of December, 1455, pursuant to the pro-
visions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California,
known as the "Annexation Act of 1913 "; and
WHBRIM0 it appears that notice of said election was
duly and regularly given; that a voting precinct was properly
established; that election officers were appointed and election
supplies furnished and that in all respects said election was
held and conducted and votes cast thereat received and canvassed
and the returns thereof made and declared in time, form and manner
as reVAred by the laws of the State of California, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Heath
met at the Council Chambers of the City Council on the 27th day
of December, 1955, at the hour of seven- thirty o'clock p.m.
or said day to canvass the returns of said election, as a result
of which the City Council of said City finds and determines that
the number of votes cast and other matters required by law to be
hereinafter stated;
NOW* THEREFORE# BE IT RESOLVED that said special
annexation election was held and conducted in the County or Orange
on Tuesday, the 20th day of December, 1955, in time, form and
manner as required by laws that there was one (1) voting
precinct established for the purpose of holding said election,
consisting of a regular election precinct established for holding
state or county elections, as follows, to wit:

votes case in the territory, and the number of votes asst for and
against the annexation, are as follows, to wit%

lannexing Seaquist Annex to the City of Newport Beach under the
terms contained in the aforesaid proposition, having received a
majority or all the votes cast at said election, be and the same
is hereby declared carried.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and
Iregularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 27th day
of December, 1955, by the following vote, to wit:

ing to the records of the City of Newport Beach filed and
maintained in my office, the foregoing Resolution No.
4418 was duly and regularly adopted, passed, and
approved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City
Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 27th day of December 9 19 559 by the
