HomeMy WebLinkAbout4419 - 31st Street & Other Improvementsl� RESOLUTION NC. 1+41Q A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING AND EMPLOYING WILLIAM MacKENZIE BROWN, ATTORNEY AT LAW, TO EXAMINE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, PREPARE RESOLUTIONS AND NECESSARY DOCUMENTS IN THE FROCEEDINGS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF 31ST STREET AND OTHER STREETS AND RIGHTS OF WAY. WHEREAS, proceedings pursuant to Division 4 and Division 7, Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, are under way proposing to improve 31st .Street and other streets and rights of way. WHEREAS, said proceedings are of a special and highly technical nature requiring the service of an attorney who specializes in such street improvement proceedings and competent to give an opinion as to the validity of the said proceedings when finally consummated; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWkRT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That William MacKenzie Brown, Attorney at Law, 650 South Spring Street, Los Angeles, be and he is hereby appointed and employed to examine plans, specifications, prepare any and all resolutions, papers and.documents necessary in the proceedings pursuant to the provisions of Division 7, Streets and Highways Code, for the improvement of 31st Street and other streets and rights of way except preparation of assessment and bonds SECTION 2. That the compensation, for said services shall be the sum of two (2f) per cent of the final construction cost. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of December, 1955. DORA O.
