RESOLUTION NO. 4461
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY.COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH CALIFORNIA, AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVE-
MENT bF 31ST STREET AND OTHER STREETS AND RIGHTS OF
WAY IN SAID CITY, DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
NO. 4421.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
alifornia, did on the 12th day of March, 1956, publicly open,
xamine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work
nd improvement described in Resolution of Intention No. 4421, which
esolution of Intention is hereby expressly referred to for a
escription of said work and improvement and for all particulars
elative to the proceedings under said Resolution of Inte4tion,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEA�H CALIFORNIA9 DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
12 SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Newport
13 each, California, hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids,
14 except that herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for
15 doing said work and making said improvements to the lowest
16 responsible bidder, to wit: Sully - Miller Contracting Co. at the
17 prices named in the bid of said bidder qn file in the Office of
18 the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach.
19 The City Clerk is hereby directed to' publish notice of said
20 award in the "NEWPORT HARBOR NEWS PRESS ", a newspaper published
21 and circulated in said City, said notice to be published twice by
22 two separate consecutive insertions in said newspaper.
