BLSOLUTION NO, 4553
W, this year 1956 represents the Golden Anniversary
of the City of Newport Beach; and'
WHERFA6, as a result of a spirit of co- operation among all
citizens, businesses and industries, this area has experienced a
series of events well programed and of the highest quality in the
observance of such Golden Anniversary; and,
WHERW9 the Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce performed a
major role at the request of the City of Newport Beach in program-
ing and carrying forward with such events in the celebration and
observance of said Anniversary; and,
WMEAS9 the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has
received many communications, both oral and written, complimenting
the said Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce as a result of its
activities in this connection.
NOW9 THERWORE5 BE IT R9SOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach does hereby unanimously express its sincere
thanks and appreciation to the Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce
for the excellent manner in wb.ieh it was programed and conducted
various activities in the celebration and observance of the Golden
Anniversary of this city.
The above and foregoing Resolution was duly passed and
I adopted at a regular mooting of the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, held on the 8 day of October, 1956, by the
following vote, to Vita
