2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF A
13 LICENSE AGREEMENT

5 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach entered into a
6 license agreement with Keith F. Rime under date of January 24,
7 1955, in which Keith F. Rims, licensee, was granted permission to
8 make use of the Newport Pier in connection with the loading and
9 unloading of passengers going from and returning to the City for
10 sport fishing purposes for a period of five (5) years; and
11 WHEREAS, on August 13, 1956, the City Council adopted
12 resolution No. 4537 in which the City Council consented to the
13 assignment, sale and transfer of said license agreement to Paul
14 Elston subject to certain conditions contained in said resolution
15 No. 4537; and
16 WHEREAS, Paul Elston and Kenneth 0. Farnsworth have now

17 requested the City Council to consent to the assignment, sale and
18 transfer of said license agreement to Kenneth 0. Farnsworth; and
19 WHEREAS, it appears that Kenneth 0. Farnsworth is a
20 responsible person and will perform the licensee's obligations
21 under said license agreement;
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
23 the City of Newport Beach hereby gives its consent to the assignmen
24 sale and transfer of said license agreement to Kenneth 0. Farnswort:
25 subject to the following terms and conditions;
26 a. The transferee, Kenneth 0. Farnsworth, shall furnish
27 the insurance provided for in Paragraph 4 of the agreement, with
28 limits in the amount of $100,000/$300,000 for public liability and
29 $50,000 for property damage.
30 b. In accordance with the letter of application, trans-
31 feree, Kenneth 0. Farnsworth, shall be bound by all of the terms
32 and conditions set forth in said license agreement.

1 C. The insurance policy shall be submitted to and
2 approved by the City Attorney.
3 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
4 City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 10th day of
5 August, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and ,maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 5066 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 10th day of August 9 19 59 by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard,
Hart, Lorenz, Somers
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
