RESOLUTION NO. 5. 2�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A DEED OF
RIGHT OF WAY FOR ACCESS EASEMENT TO BIG
CANYON RESERVOIR
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company, a West Virginia
has executed a deed of right of way dated August 14, 1959, grant-
ing to the City of Newport Beach an easement for public road
purposes over the real property in the City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
and
That portion of Block 96 of Irvine's Subdivision
as shown upon a map recorded in Book 1, Page 88 of
Miscellaneous Record Maps, Records of Orange County,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point which is the southwesterly
corner of that certain "Reservoir Site ", conveyed
to the City of Newport Beach and described in a deed
recorded in Book 4143, Page 395, Official Records of
said Orange County, which point is also a point in the
northerly line of Pacific View Drive; thence aloe
the most westerly boundary of said "Reservoir Site ,
North 180 59' 26' West a distance of 30 feet; thence
South 71' 00' 30 West to an intersection with a
curved line, said curved line being the northerly
line of said Pacific View Drive having a 40 foot wide
right of way as recorded by description in Book 4143,
Page 400, Official Records of said Orange County;
thence along said northerly line on a curve concave
to the northeast and having a radius of 358.98 feet, in
a southeasterly direction to the point of beginning,
which point is also the end of curve of said Pacific
View Drive.
Reserving unto the Grantor, its successors and
assigns, the right to construct, maintain and operate
lines of any and all kinds across, under or over said
road or any part thereof, including lines for the
conveyance of water and including lines for telephone,
telegraph and electric power, but so as not to inter-
fere with the reasonable use for public road purposes.
Subject to all existing easements, reservations,
rights and rights of way of record; .
WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City to accept
said deed of right of way for such purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said deed of right of way be
accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized
and directed to execute and attach a certificate of acceptance and
consent to the recording of said deed in the County Recorder's
office.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 24th day of
August, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

the foregoing Resolution No. 5079 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 24th day of August 9 i9 59 by the following
