RESOLUTION NO. 5118
A RESOLUTIONd OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT.FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN VILLA
WAY, FROM.3IST.STREET TO 29TH STREET, IN 29TH
STREET, FROM VILLA WAY TO NEWPORT BAY
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
consisting of the construction of drainage improvements in Villa
Way, from 31st Street to 29th Street, in 29th Street, from Villa
Way to Newport Bay, in accordance with the plans and specifications
heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 5th day of November,
1959, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
for such construction work is M. C. Nottingham Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of M. C.
Nottingham Company in the amount of $11,650.00 be accepted and
that the contract for the construction work be awarded to said
M. C. Nottingham Company.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish an
executed copy to the successful bidder.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 9th day of
November, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atkinson,
Higbie, Stoddard; Hart, Lorenz, Somers
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
