NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY.MANAGER.TO
• 3 EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH CORO FOUNDATION

WHEREAS, Coro Foundation, of 416 West Eighth Street, Los
6
Angeles 14, California, has offered to make a study and prepare a.
7
treatise on Harbor Area local government agencies which will be
8
used by school students and civic groups in study of local govern-
9
ment; and
10
WHEREAS, it is to the interests of the City of Newport
11
Beach and its citizens and in the public interest to have this
12
work done; and
13
WHEREAS, said Foundation has presented a contract provid-
14
ing that the City shall pay certain expenses connected with the
15
project consisting of telephone calls, stenographic aid, materials,
16
postage, and transportation, and that the intern, Michael J. Murphy,
17
assigned to the project will be available for a period of thirty
18
working days and that he is not an employee of the City and that he
19
is not eligible for Workmants Compensation or any similar insurance
20
compensation from the City of Newport Beach while in this relation -
21
ship;
22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement is ap-
23
proved and that the City Manager is authorized and directed to
24
execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.

ADOPTED this 14th day of March, 1960.

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 14th day of March , 19 60 by the following
