A R.F.SOLUL"IOId OF THE CITY COU14CIL OF THE CITY OF
IE CRT BEACH AUTHORIZING THZ MCUTION OF A
CON' TRACT
GXEREAS, the City has been receiving water from a 30 -inch
water main extending along the easterly side of State Highway ORA=
60 -B from Fernleaf Avenue in Corona del Mar southerly along said
highway, in which The Irvine Company owns 42.31% of the capacity
flow of water in said line-, and
17HEREAS, it is convenient to continue to receive said
water in order to adequately supply the area of the City known as
Corona Highlands; and
WI REAS, a contract has been prepared between the City
of Newport Beach and The Irvine Company under which the City will
be authorized to continue taking said watery and
Fi1HEERZ.AS, the City Council has reviewed said contract and
found the same to be in the best interests of the City;
WGIV, THZREFORF., BE IT RESOLVED that the terms of said
contract be approved and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are
authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City.
