RESOLUTION NO. 5233
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENT TO PARKING AREA,
CORONA DEL MAR STATE PARR BEACH, GENERALLY
WESTERLY AND SOUTHERLY FROM THE FOOT OF THE
IRIS AVENUE -RAMP
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
consisting of the construction of improvement to parking area,
Corona del Mar State Park Beach, generally westerly and southerly
from the foot of the Iris Avenue ramp, in accordance with the plans
and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the
5th day of May, 1960, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
for such construction work is Sully - Miller Contracting Co.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Sully-
Miller Contracting Co. in the amount of $12,901 be accepted and
that the contract for the construction work be awarded to said
Sully Miller Contracting Co.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
an executed copy to the successful bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contractor shall not
begin the work without first having obtained the specific approval
of the Director of Public Works.
