RESOLUTION NO. 5247
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH CONFIRMING STATEMENT.OF EXPENSE
OF ABATING A PUBLIC NUISANCE
WHEREAS, Oliver A. King, a Building Inspector of the City
of Newport Beach, has submitted to the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at its regular meeting on Monday, June 13, 1960, at
the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. in the Council Chambers at the City
Hall, Newport Beach, California, a verified statement of the
expense of abating a public nuisance, to wit: the razing and
removing of the buildings located at 904 - 906 E. Balboa Boulevard
and 905 - 907 E. Bay Avenue, Newport Beach, California; and
WHEREAS, a copy of said verified statement and notice of
hearing before said City Council was posted conspicuously on said
property and mailed to Mr. Roger B. Ian Pelt, 1611 Milan Street,
South Pasadena, California, as required by and in accordance with
the State Housing Act, Division 13, Part 1, of the Health and
Safety Code of the State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach hereby finds and determines as follows,
to wit:
1. That said verified statement of Oliver A. King, a
Building Inspector of the City of Newport Beach, be and the same is
hereby approved and confirmed. That the net expense of abating
said public nuisance is in the sum of $1400. That there were no
salable building materials in the razing and removing of said
buildings from said property.
2. That the objections or protests raised by any
property owner liable to be assessed for the cost of such work
and any other interested persons be and the same are hereby over-
ruled and rejected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City

of Newport Beach be authorized and directed to execute and record
a notice of lien in the said sum of $1400,in the form set forth
therefor in Section 17829 of the Health and Safety Code of the State
of California, upon the real property located at 904 -906 E. Balboa
Boulevard and 905 - 907 E. Bay Avenue, being that certain piece or
parcel of land lying and being in the City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, and particularly described
as follows, to wit:
Lots 2 and 3, Block 13, Balboa Tract, as shown on a
map recorded in Book 4, page 11, Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California.
ADOPTED this 13th day of June, 1960.J�

the foregoing Resolution No. 5247 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 13th day of June 19 60 by the following
vote, to wit:

Atkinson, Cook, Stoddard
