2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
• 3 AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES WITH J.
HERBERT BROWNELL

5 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach requires the services
6 of an architect in connection with the proposed fire station on
711 the main library site on Balboa Boulevard at the intersection of
811 Island Avenue and the remodeling and extension of the main library
9 building; and
10 WHEREAS, J. Herbert Brownell is a licensed architect
11 qualified to perform the services required; and
12 WHEREAS, it is for the best interests of the City of
1311 Newport Beach that a contract be entered into for the employment of
14 J. Herbert Brownell to perform such services for the City;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
16 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement
17 on behalf of the City of Newport Beach with J. Herbert Brownell
18 for such architectural services.
