RESOLUTION NO. 5255
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CERTAIN
ACCEPTANCES OF ASSIGNMENTS OF LEASES
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is.acquiring certain
property from the Pacific Electric Railway Company and the Southern
Pacific Company, being a portion of a 100 -foot wide strip between
26th Street and 30th Street and a portion of the Pacific Electric
Railway station property between 23rd and 26th Streets; and
WHEREAS, Vance and Associates Roofing, Inc., Carl Wood -
mansee, Foster and Kleiser Company, Cotton Goff, Inc., South Coast
Construction Company, and The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph
Company are all lessees or licensees on portions of said property;
and
WHEREAS, Pacific Electric Railway Company has executed
certain assignments on the above - mentioned leases and delivered
them to the City with a request that the City accept said assign-
ments; and
WHEREAS, this procedure is acceptable to the City and
said assignments should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City .Manager be
and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said acceptances
lof assignments on the afore - mentioned leases at such time as title
to the property vests in the City.
ADOPTED at an adjourned regular meeting this 29th day of
June, 1960.
