RESOLUTION N0. 5308
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
3 CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND THE
CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM IN,
4 JAMBOREE ROAD OPPOSITE AERONUTRONICS

6 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
7 consisting of the construction of street improvements and the con -
8 struction of traffic signal system in Jamboree Road opposite Aero-
9 nutronics in the City of Newport Beach, in accordance with the
10 plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on
11 the 4th day of August, 1960, and publicly opened and declared; and
12 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
13 for such construction work is Benton H. Prock
14 ;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of
16 Benton H. Prock in the amount of
17 1 $19,400.00 be accepted and that the contract for the con -
18 struction work be awarded to said bidder.
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
20 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
21 withthe specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
22 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
23 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
