2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF.AN -
3 AMENDMENT TO.AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY
YOUTH CENTER OF NEWPORT HARBOR
511 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach and Community Youth
611 Center of Newport Harbor executed a contract pursuant to the
authorization contained in Resolution No. 5303 pertaining to the
8 control and operation of the Community Youth Center and park
9 property lying between Harbor View School and Fifth Avenue in

Corona del Mar; and
WHEREAS, a part of_the land under said agreement is
owned by the Newport Beach School District; and
WHEREAS, the School District desires to be kept advised
of maintenance problems and to review and approve any structures
that are built on land owned by the School District; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to said agreement between the City
17 and the Community Youth Center has been prepared which provides
18 for liaison between the Board-of Directors of the Community Youth
19 Center and the School District and for approval by the Newport
Beach School District as requested; and

WHEREAS, said agreement has been reviewed and found to be
21
reasonable and equitable;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement be
23
approved and the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed
24
to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
