A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SCHEDULE - "A" ADOPTED BY
RESOLUTION NO. 5256.AND AMENDED BY- RESOLUTION
NO. 5319 RELATING TO- CLASSIFICATION AND COMPEN-
SATION
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5256 was adopted pursuant to
Section 2200 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code.and adopted
Schedules "A ", "B" and "C" setting forth the classification and
compensation plan of the City upon recommendation of the City
Manager; and
WHEREAS, Schedule "A" was amended by Resolution No.
5319; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that Schedule "A"
be further amended to delete the title "General Services Foreman"
from salary range No. 31, add the title "General Services Super-
intendent" to salary range No. 32, remove the title "Chief Mechan
from salary range No. 31 and place said title within salary range
No. 32, and remove the title "Accountant" from salary range No.
32 and place said title within salary range No. 33;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective.October 31
1960, Schedule "A" adopted by- Resolution No. 5256 and amended by
Resolution No. 5319 is further amended by deleting the title
"General Services Foreman" from salary range No, 31, adding the
title "General Services Superintendent" to salary range No. 32,
removing the title "Chief Mechanic" from salary range No. 31 and
placing said title within salary range No. 32, and removing the
title "Accountant" from salary range No. 32 and placing said title
within salary range No. 33.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as specifically
changed, the provisions of Schedule "A0l and Resolution No. 5256
shall.continue in full force and effect.
