A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A

CONTRACT WITH CLIFFTOP DEVELOPMENT C014PANY TO
•
INSTALL A WATER MAIN

WHEREAS, Clifftop Development Company is the subdivider
6
of Tract No. 3801 lying easterly of Irvine Avenue in the Upper Bay
7
areas and
8
WHEREAS, Clifftop.Development Company, as subdivider of
9
said tract, is required to install a water main along Irvine
10
Avenue northerly of 21st Street; and
11
WHEREAS, it is necessary that said water line in Irvine
12
Avenue be a 16-inch line in order that it may constitute a part

of the "Upper Bay Loop97; and

WHEREAS, a contract has been prepared under which the
15
City will furnish the material for a lei -inch water line and Cliff-
16
top Development Company will install the.line and pay the City the
17
amount it would have paid for the material to construct an 8 -inch

line; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has examined the terms of said
20
contract and found them to be fair and equitable and in the
21
interest of the City;
22
NOW, TIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
23
Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute said

contract on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
