2 A RESOLUTION CF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THU CITY OF
AaTPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING PURCHASES OF CERTAIN
3 ITEMS TO BE MADE FOR THEI, CITY BY TIDE PURCHASING
• AG>NT OF THE COUNT; OF ORANGE

5 WIIES, it is permissible under Sections 51301, et seq.,
6 of the Government Code of the State of California to contract with
7 the County to perform certain functions for the City; and
8 ZiEREAS, it appears that it is possible to acquire
9 certain items consistent with the City's centralized purchasing
10 system at a substantially lower cost by having them purchased by
11 the County; and
12 WHEREAS, it is, therefore, ttae desire of the City Council
13 to contract with the County for the County Purchasing Agent to
14 purchase certain items for the City under the following conditions;
15 .I 110919 TH EREFORE $ BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Newport
16 Beach hereby agrees with the County of Orange that the Purchasing
17 agent for the County shall purchase for the City at the request of
18 the City Manager of the City of Newport Beach gasoline, oil, and
19 such other items regularly purchased by the County as may be
20 designated from time to time by the City Manager.
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby agrees to
22 1
pay
the expenses and costs incurred
by the
County in performing
23
the
services for the City within 15
days after being billed for
24
the
same, provided such expenses and costs
incurred in any montla
25
are
billed to the City prior to the
end of
the following month.
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon the approval of the
27 terms of this resolution.by the Board of Supervisors, it shall
28 constitute a contract between the City and the County, which said
• 29 contract shall have a term of five (5) years from the date of
30 approval and shall be subject to termination by either party upon
311 giving written notice to the other party one year prior to the
