IMPROVEMENT OF NEWPORT BLVD..BETWEEN 22ND AND 31ST STREETS WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work consisting of the improvement of Newport Blvd. between 22nd and 3 Streets in the City of Newport Beach in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 15th day of March, 1961, and publicly opened and declared; and WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder therefor is the Griffith Company; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of the Company in the amount of $90,007.12 be accepted and that the con- tract for the construction work be awarded to said bidder. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder. ADOPTED at an adjourned regular meeting this 20th day of March, 1961.
