2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5269 WHICH
3 ESTABLISHED PARKING CONTROL AND PARKING FEES ON
THE BALBOA.PARKING LOT

.6 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5269 established parking control
6 and parking fees on the Balboa Parking Lot; and
7 WHEREAS, said resolution was amended by Resolution No.
8 5309 ;_ and
9 WHEREAS, it now appears necessary to further amend said
10 resolution by providing for a 50� parking fee as hereinafter
11 designated;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT.RESOLVED that Paragraph 1 of Reso-
13 lution No. 5269 as amended by Resolution No. 5309 be and is hereby
14 further amended to read;
15 "1. Parking control shall be maintained on the
Balboa Parking Lot and a daily parking fee shall be
16 charged for using such lot, as follows:
17 (a) The City Manager shall establish the
control and begin charging the fee each year on
18 June 1, or thereafter on the date he determines
that there is a need for parking control on the lot
19 and the demand for parking will justify maintaining
attendants thereon, and shall discontinue the con -
20 trol and fees on the day after Labor Day, or on any
subsequent date during the month of September when
21 he determines that the control is no longer neces-
sary and the demand for parking does not justify
22 maintaining attendants on said lot.
23 (b) Monday through Friday, except on
holidays, the parking fee shall be 251 per vehicle.

(c) On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays,
25 the parking fee shall be 751 per vehicle.
26 (d) Notwithstanding the provisions of (b)
and (c) hereinabove, the parking fee shall be 50¢
27 per vehicle for vehicles parked after 7:00 P. M. on
each Friday evening, Saturday evening, or on other
28 evenings when special events to which large numbers
�. of people may be attracted are held in the vicinity
29 ;-of said lot.'
