2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
3 ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING AGREEMENT WITH THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF DOVER
4 DRIVE

6 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5267 of the City
7 Council, the City of Newport Beach entered into an Arterial
g Highway Financing Agreement with the County of Orange dated July
9 19, 1960, for the improvement of Dover Drive from a point approxi-
10 mately 800 feet southerly of Westcliff Drive to the Pacific Coast
11 Highway; and
12 WHEREAS, there has now been presented to the City Council
13 a certain financing agreement between the City and County for such
14 improvement work which, if executed by the parties, would supersede
15 in its entirety said agreement of July 19, 1960, and would provide
16 for the County Highway Department to act as the Project Engineer
17 I instead of the City Engineer; and
18 WHEREAS, said proposed agreement has been reviewed and
19 found to be fair and equitable and it is in the interest of the
20 City to execute the same;
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
22 City of Newport Beach that said Arterial Highway Financing Agree -
23 ment be approved and that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized
24 and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport
25 Beach.
