RESOLUTION N0. 5394
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS TO
FIRE STATION NO. 5.COMPLETE WITH HOSE TOWER
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
consisting of the construction of additions and alterations to
Fire Station No. 5, in Corona del Mar, in accordance with the
plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received
on the 5th day of April, 1961, and publicly opened and declared;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Fred Beck Construction Co.;
NOTE, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Fred Beck
Construction Co, in the amount of $10,229 be accepted and that the
contract for the construction of-additions and alterations to Fire
Station No. 5 complete with hose tower be awarded to said bidder.
BE.IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
an executed copy to the successful bidder.
