2 A RESOLUTIO14 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING TIM EXECUTION OF A
3 CONTRACT WITH JAILS N..MONTGOHERY, CONSULTING
ENGINEERS,-INC., FOR A STUDY OF FUTURE WATER
4 REQUIREI1ENTS AND ALTERNATE SOURCES OF SUPPLY

6 WHEIREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
7 the City of Newport Beach a certain contract between the City of
8 Newport Beach and James M. Montgomery, Consulting Engineers, Inc.,
9 for the employment of Montgomery to work with the Committee on
10 Alternate 'Mater Supplies as a consultant for the purpose of study -
11 ing the future water requirements of the City and developing
12 information on and evaluating proposed alternate sources of supply;
13 and
14 WHEREAS. the City Council has considered the terms and
15 conditions of said agreement and found thew to be reasonable and
16 equitable;
17 I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement be
18
I approved
and the Mayor
and City
Clerk are
hereby authorized and
19
` directed
to execute the
same on
behalf of
the City of Newport
20 Beach.
