RESOLUTION N0. 5412.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPOINTING A CITY MANAGER.
WHEREAS, Robert Shelton, City Manager, has submitted
his resignation effective the day following the adoption of the
City budget for the fiscal year 1961 - 1962; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to appoint a
City Manager to succeed Robert Shelton;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that F. Robert Coop be and is hereby
appointed as City Manager of the City of Newport Beach effective
the day following the adoption of the City budget for the fiscal
year 1961 - 1962 by the City Council or July 1, 1961, whichever
date first occurs.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of May 1961
