RESOLUTION N0, 5413
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF
F. ROBERT, COOP AS.A.CONSULTANT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
by resolution has appointed F. Robert Coop as City Manager to
succeed Robert Shelton, City Manager, whose resignation becomes
effective the day after the adoption of the 1961 - 1962 City
budget or July 1, 19613, whichever date first occurs; and
WHEREAS, it would be in the interest of the City and
in the public interest to have Par. Coop take part in the process
of budget preparation and otherwise become familiar with the
operation of the City of Newport Beach prior to the effective
date of his employment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager
be and is hereby authorized to contract with F. Robert Coop for
services as a consultant pending the time his appointment as City
Manager is effective,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the compensation for the
services of Mr, Coop contemplated hereunder may be at an hourly
rate of $8.65 or a per diem rate of $69.20 at the discretion of
the City Manager.
