2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
3 CONSTRUCTION OF A TEMPORARY BOOSTER PUMPING
STATION AT BIG CANYON RESERVOIR

'FWREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
consisting of the construction of a temporary booster pumping
station at Big Canyon Reservoir in the City of Newport Beach, in
accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted,
bids were received on the 8th day of .Tune, 1961, and publicly
opened and declared, and
14HEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Wm. R. Crail Construction, Inc.,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, subject to the
execution by all parties of the contract of The Irvine Company,
Newport Beach School District, and City providing for reimbursement
to City of the cost of construction of the pumping station and
water line required by said plans and specifications, the bid of
Wm. R. Crail Construction, Inc., in the amount of $36,260 be
accepted and that the contract for the construction work be awarded
to said bidder.
BE IT FURTHMRESOLVED that, subject to the execution of
said contract as aforesaid, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance with
the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish an
executed copy to the successful bidder.

of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 5421 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 12th day of June 19 61 by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley. Atkinson, Cooke Stoddard. Hart,
Lorenz, Somers
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
