RESOLUTION NO. 5438
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE.CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 4408 WHICH
AUTHORIZED THE CITY ENGINEER TO APPROVE TRANSFERS
• OF PIER PERMITS
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 4408 adopted
on November 14,. 1955, delegated the authority to approve the transfer
of pier permits to the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, it now appears to be reasonably necessary and in
the public interest that each pier permit transfer be reviewed. and
approved or disapproved by. the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 4408 be
repealed and it is hereby directed that each'application for a trans-
fer of a pier permit be referred to the Joint Harbor Committee for
review and recommendation to the City Council and thereafter submit-
ted to the City Council for approval or disapproval.
ADOPTED this 26th day of idune, 1961.
