RESOLUTION NO. 5452
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
PILE REPLACEMENT, NEWPORT OCEAN.PIER AND
BALBOA OCEAN PIER
&TdEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
consisting of pile replacement, Newport Ocean Pier and Balboa Ocean
Pier, in the City of Newport Beach, in accordance with the plans
and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the
22nd day of June, 1961, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Macco Corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of the Macco
Corporation in the account of $6,736 be accepted and that the
contract for the construction work be awarded to said bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
an executed copy to the successful bidder.
