A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH FIXING THE TAX RATE AND LEVYING A TAX UPON ALL OF
THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
WHICH IS TAXABLE THEREIN FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES.
Pursuant to Section 1107 of the City Charter and Section 2600 of the
Newport Beach Municipal Code, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
does resolve and declare as follows:
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied upon all of the taxable property
within the City of Newport Beach which is taxable for municipal purposes, a tax
for the purpose of raising the necessary money with which to carry on the various
departments and obligations of the City of Newport Beach for the current fiscal
year, 1961 -62.
SECTION 2. The rate of the tax hereby levied shall be and is hereby
fixed at the sum of $1.24 on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of assessed
value; said tax to be levied on said taxable property within the following
code areas:

This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 14th day of August, 1961, by the
following vote, to wit:

of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No, 5465 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 14th day of August , 1961 , by the following
