RESOLUTION N0. 5472
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF ORANGE.
WHEREAS, Irvine Avenue in the vicinity of 22nd Street
for a distance of approximately 450 feet is in need of reconstruc-
tion in order to meet the street grade established to serve Tract
No. 3801; and
WHEREAS, this area of Irvine Avenue is partly within the
City and partly in County territory; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that said portion be recon-
structed in order to adequately serve the needs of the public;
and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange has prepared and submitted
a contract under which it would act as contracting and constructio
agent for the County and the City of Newport Beach and under which
the City and County would share the cost in proportion to the
amount of work done within their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, said contract appears to be fair and equitable
and in the interests of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
contract on behalf of the City.

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 11th day of September , 19 61 , by the following
vote, to wit:
